Cure Sometimes, Relieve Often, Comfort Always

We provide many different services to fit your needs.

Our mission is to have healthy and happy pets. To achieve that we offer the following services to keep your pet healthy.

Wellness Visits

Vaccines

Vaccinations protect your pet from several highly contagious diseases such as canine distemper, parvovirus infection and respiratory tract infections. It also protects against transmissible diseases such as rabies that also pose a risk to humans.  If you pet would become infected with most of these diseases, which are preventable, debilitating and life-threatening illness occurs, including death and very expensive treatment with long term side effects.

Heartworm and Flea and Tick Prevention

Heartworm in our pets is easy to prevent and costly and possibly deadly to treat.  For less than the cost of going to Starbucks for a weekly coffee, you can prevent heartworm disease in your dog. The American Heartworm Society recommends year-round heartworm prevention.

Fleas are annoying and miserable for your pet as well as you. They also carry other diseases that your pet can get sick from.

Dogs are very susceptible to tick bites and tickborne diseases. Vaccines are not available for most of the tickborne diseases that dogs can get, and they don't keep the dogs from bringing ticks into your home. For these reasons, it's important to use a tick preventive product on your dog. Ticks also carry zoonotic diseases, so they can hurt humans too!

Prescription Foods

Sometimes pets have diseases that can be managed with a prescription diet. We like people to think of this diet as medicine that is being prescribed to treat a disease. It is important to follow your veterinarian’s medical advice when it comes to the proper diet being recommended for specific disease management

Spay and Neutering Your Pets

By having your dog or cat sterilized, you will do your part to prevent the birth of unwanted puppies and kittens. Spaying and neutering prevent unwanted litters, help protect against some serious health problems, and may reduce many of the behavioral problems associated with the mating instinct.

Discussion with your veterinarian is taken into account for each individual animal when this procedure should occur.

Dental prophylaxis and dental radiographs

While plaque can be brushed off at home, tartar cannot. Tartar requires veterinary attention. As conditions worsen, pets can suffer from oral pain, abscesses, gum separation, loss of bone that supports teeth, and teeth that are loose and fall out.

Dental radiographs help your veterinarian evaluate the health of your pet's teeth by identifying the following problems not seen by the naked eye: Tooth fractures. Retained deciduous teeth (baby teeth that failed to erupt at the proper time) Tooth root abscesses or infections.

Wellness packages

We have put together several packages for all life stages, needs and budgets to allow our pet owners to be able to provide the best preventative care possible.

Sick Visits

There are times when your pet may not be feeling just right. Maybe you found a lump. Are they drinking and urinating more frequently? Have they become fearful and anxious? Maybe they started itching and won’t stop. These question and perhaps more indicate that you should be seen for a Sick Visit.

Soft Tissue Surgery

aka lumps, bumps and masses

Laboratory diagnostics

Blood work

  • What does this tell us?
  • The Complete Blood Count, or CBC, shows a veterinarian your dog's hydration status, anemia, infection, blood clotting ability and immune system response. A CBC is essential for dog that have symptoms like fever, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, pale gums or loss of appetite.
  • Chemistry panels tell us what organs are doing and how they are working.  We examine liver values, kidney values, electrolytes, blood sugar and more.

Radiology

X-rays help us examine bones, soft tissue patterns, look for things your pet may have eaten and more. Sometimes they help us rule things out that could be causing issues with your pet.

Medicine Consult

As experienced veterinarians and staff we have the training and knowledge to gather complete histories, perform extensive exams and perform diagnostics. What is even more important is putting that story together to diagnose what is happening in your sick pet.

Dermatology Consult

Sometimes are pets get skin conditions that are not normal. We are educated and equipped to handle many of these issues, keeping your from having to take your pet to a specialists.

Is your pet itchy? Is there an unusual mass that has shown up?

Behavior Consult

Is there a change in your pets behavior or attitude? Are you noticing your pet urinating on your bed? Are you having trouble introducing your pets?

Many issues can be considered behavioral in nature. The staff at GBAAH will make sure that these issues are not medical in nature and then guide you to solutions.

Cold Laser Therapy

Cold laser therapy is a noninvasive procedure that uses light to stimulate cell regeneration and increase blood circulation. Cold laser therapy treats the surface of the skin, while hot laser treatments affect deeper tissues.

In minor cases, laser therapy alone may be enough to alleviate pain and stimulate the healing process. Because it works directly on injured or affected areas, laser treatments can help speed up healing, strengthen muscle and tissue, improve mobility and enhance your pet’s overall quality of life almost immediately.
